A Bloody Row
Des's first album-length solo work, recorded under primitive conditions and mixing experimental sequences, pop and folk pastiches and first essays into Brecht/Weill and Brel. Originally released under the name X X Smash. Long unavailable - the master has been lost and only a second generation copy still remains in the artist's possession - but there is a long term plan to record a reconstruction.

Originally McCalla cassette album November 1990, later recompiled with other tracks and released as CD.
This soul band featured ex-members of Sniff 'n' the Tears, vocalist Neol McCalla and drummer Lou Salvoni. I'm not giving full details because I only engineered it and my creative input was fairly minimal, but I'm a particularly pleased still with my mix of the old James Taylor tune 'Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight'.
